Project Overview
The "Super Suit" Comic Book, created by Hakim Coggins, is a dynamic educational tool designed for Thompson Middle School's Heart Club members. This initiative combines storytelling and interactive activities to empower youth to resist vaping, challenge racial bias, and embrace their unique strengths. Featuring Mikah (inspired by Hakim's name spelled backward) and his sister Soular, the comic introduces young superheroes who inspire unity, self-confidence, and healthy choices.
Heart Club Leadership
Facilitated by FAB Newport's Ellen Pinnock and Chris Gross, Heart Club is a safe space that promotes personal growth and community engagement for middle school students.
